I'm making chuck steaks tonight that are about 1 1/2 inches thick. If it matters I'm using a gas range and a stainless steel pan. I'm looking to get them about medium well.
How long do I cook them on each side? How high should I have the flame? I never know when to turn them and I end up with steaks that are very done on the outside and not done enough on the inside. I end up cutting them open and putting them back on because they're not done. Thanks for the help!How long do I cook chuck steaks?
low flame to medium flame
couple teaspoons butter in the pan
some onion if you have it
cover pan with foil or a dish
6 minutes on each side
